Patricia (Trish) Dehnel is a Registered Professional Planner and Community Energy Planner with Community Energy Association, a non-profit organization supporting local government in BC move towards a low-carbon future. Currently for Regional District of Central Kootenay she manages the new home component of the Regional Energy Efficiency Program (REEP), a regional approach to adopt the BC Energy Step Code and encourage energy efficient performance in new residential construction. Other recent Kootenay based projects include Senior Energy Specialist for RDCK / FortisBC and West Kootenay liaison for Accelerate Kootenays, an innovative and regional approach to build a robust network of electric vehicle charging stations. Previously Trish worked for Local Government including Village of Slocan interim CAO/Planning Manager and City of Nelson City Planner. Patricia Dehnel currently serves on the Planning Institute of BC’s Board of Directors and lives in Nelson BC.
